Carries professional endorsements, including but not limited to, most of the leading luxury resorts, private estates, wineries and other independent wedding venues as well as the area's leading wedding suppliers
Considered a leader in the industry amongst their peers locally and nationally
Considered a cherished member of the local events community
Is well-educated, with a minimum of a B.A. or B.S. college degree
Is commited to constantly continuing their wedding and event education, training and development
Has the utmost of integrity and ethics: from how they treat clients, guests and their fellow event supply partners to not accepting kick-backs or bribes from vendors for their business as well as having clearly-stated contracts with no hidden fees
Holds a record of never having been banned from any wedding venue
Is an active member in their community in their personal and professional lives

Santa Barbara Wedding Planners of Distinction was started as an answer to discriminating destination wedding clientele as well as local event supply partners and venues who demanded excellence, top-notch experience and integrity as well as a desire to have professionals who had been rooted in the Santa Barbara community for years and were well-established. Founded by third-generation Santa Barbaran and Certified Wedding Professional Kerry Lee (Dickey) Doehr of Santa Barbara Wine Country Weddings & Events and Engaging Inspiration, Santa Barbara Wedding Planners of Distinction is an elite professional group dedicated to the finest service standards as well as service to community, to each other, and to the highest ideals and standards in the wedding and special event industry.
